Petzone

Just when I was thinking that there was no such thing as a decent pet shop in the UAE, I found Petzone in Dubai. This place deserves a big Al Ain Taxi plug.

It's how a pet shop should be and it's run by a woman ::smug smile :-) ::

All other UAE pet shops please follow their example.

No matter how good they are, I hate venturing into pet shops.

I just can't stand to leave them, and not take all the puppies and kittens with me!

When I'm rich and old(er), I want to be like Doris Day and have a million dogs.

I always love to find a good plug about women-owned businesses. Not to mention a good plug about the best pet stores in distant lands. Thanks!

Hey Taxi, hi. Just found this site as we are moving to Al Ain and just acquired a baby Rottweiler. Directions to Pet Zone would be greatly appreciated. Or I just now thought, maybe this isn't what this site is about. Oh well, either way. I enjoy your pages.

PetZone is not run by a female, an Arab male (I think Lebanese) is the owner and he's the one who run the store (seen regularly in the store. Moreover, I was in PetZone two days ago for my Corgi grooming, and it's not exactly the best store in Dubai. The store was dark and crowded with the new merchandise. Personally, am against selling pets in stores & that is their main business for PetZone, despite the huge number of homeless pets in K9 friends & Feline friends. Please adopt & don't buy a pet from a store that don't give you any clue on the breeder location/details.

Hmmm very good reading! Perhaps you might be able to help me...I am a one of those females who has daringly started my own business so I am very happy to read the support for females in the business world. I have recently created my own brand of boutique pet products by the name of berry behaved that I sell on-line as well as to vet clinics throughout the UAE. I have spent the morning trying to contact vet clinics in Al Ain looking for potential distributors as I am sure you guys must also be crying out for modern pet accessories? However I have called a total of 7 clinics and managed to have a normal conversation with only one person? Now either I am calling numbers that don’t even exist anymore as no one is picking up the phone or they work only a few hours a day? And the people that do pick up the phone don’t really speak English? I guess my question is do you know of a reputable vet clinic that I should be contacting or are they all a bit hit and miss? Pet stores in Al Ain are my next avenue if I can’t find a good vet clinic, however Pet Stores are also not my favourite place in the world! Anyhow I will keep trying, but any local advice would be greatly appreciated!
